Encyclopedia of Political Button Books I, II, and III by Ted Hake

Long time collector and APIC member #292, Ted Hakes authored three indispensible reference books on political americana.  These books show individual items photographed in black and white.  Each item has been assigned a code number that is used by collectors for reference.

The first book The Encyclopedia of Political Buttons 1896-1972 was originally issued in color, but is now only available in black and white.

In 2004, Hake created a revised price guide for all items in these books that is included when these books are purchased.

The three books are as follows:

Hake, Theodore. The Encyclopedia of Political Buttons 1896-1972. New York: Dafran House Publishers, 1974.

Hake, Theodore. Political Buttons: Book II, 1920-1976. York, Pennsylvania: Hake's Americana and Collectibles, 1977.

Hake, Theodore. Political Buttons: Book III, 1789-1916. York, Pennsylvania: Hake's Americana and Collectibles, 1978.
